Social Security Administration Sends Out Wrong Tax Information
According
to the SSA, the problem was created by computer error which added some Medicare
Part C and Part D premium deductions to
the amounts reported for 2007. Garnishment deductions were also affected.
Corrected SSA-1099s were to be mailed out by Friday January 25.
Look for the words, “Corrected Notice” or “Corrected Tax Information” on the replacement forms.
