Tax Rebate for Seniors (Economic Stimulus Package)
Are you a senior who depends mostly on your Social Security income for support?
Did you received more than $3,000 in income including Social Security Benefits, VA Benefits, and/or Railroad Retirement Benefits during 2007?
Seniors who meet these requirements can qualify for a stimulus tax REBATE CHECK of $300 to $600 if filing jointly. If you are supporting minor dependents, the amount is greater.
You must file a 2007 tax return using Form 1040 or 1040A even if you would not have to file otherwise.
If you are only filing to receive your rebate, write “STIMULUS REBATE” across the top of your 1040 or 1040A
Note: you will not qualify for this rebate if someone else claims you as a dependent on their tax return.
