I am a California attorney providing legal counsel in the fields of estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate, conservatorships, and elder law.
My practice serves the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties.
I earned my Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law.
MEMBERSHIPS: I am a member of the California State Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Trusts & Estates Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Estate Planning and Trust Council of Long Beach. I am licensed to practice law in California and am admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
LIFE BEFORE LAW SCHOOL: I was born and raised in Riverside, California. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English from UC Riverside where I also competed on the women’s varsity tennis team. Alas, my academic record was much more impressive than my tennis statistics putting an end to my dreams of Wimbledon glory!
I subsequently earned a Master of Science degree in Applied Biometry (Biostatistics) from the University of Southern California. I put that training to use while participating in medical research studies of childhood brain cancers, pediatric AIDS, and a multimillion dollar clinical trial investigating treatments for an ophthalmologic condition known as proliferative vitreoretinopathy.
Later, I was employed as a statistical analyst at the Los Angeles Times where, among other thing, I analyzed data reflecting the demographic changes in California neighborhoods, cities, counties. I also contributed to a Pulitzer Prize finalist series dealing with the aftermath of the Los Angeles riots.
I find that the practice of law allows me to combine my quantitative and qualitative skill in a way that is very rewarding for me and beneficial to my clients.
Governor
Schwarzenegger signed SB 483 into law this weekend. See previous post for a discussion of the changes to Medi-Cal Long-Term Care eligibility
and what that means to you. I will post more on this topic
soon.
